On 7th August 2025, Shyaway opened its sixth store at Hilite Mall, and it’s the brand’s first in Kerala. That means you can stop squinting at product photos and wondering how a bra will actually feel. Walk in, pick a few styles, and find out in the trial room.

Opening Day at Hilite Mall: How It All Kicked Off
The store was opened by T Karthikeyan, Head of Infra Admin & Catalog Management at Shyaway. It happened on 7th August 2025, the day Shyaway came to Kerala for the first time. Calicut became home to the brand’s sixth store, with the range open for shoppers to explore in person.
Shoppers turned up to see the range up close, from everyday basics to activewear and nightwear, and to find out for themselves what Shyaway feels like off the screen.
Early visitors got free styling sessions and gift hampers, and the day came with launch offers too. The feedback was just as encouraging. People spoke warmly about the comfort, the styling and the range of sizes, which is exactly what the store was set up to deliver.
It was also Kerala’s first look at a Shyaway store, and a good start for the sixth one.
Seamless, Wire-Free or Wired? A Quick Cheat Sheet
So many styles, so many choices. Here’s what each one does best.
Seamless bras are the quiet ones. No visible seams, so no lines showing through your T-shirt or fitted top.
Wire-free bras are the relaxed ones. No underwire, which many people find softer and easier to wear for hours. Good for everyday use and lazy Sundays.
Wired bras are the structured ones. The underwire adds lift and shape, which works nicely under fitted outfits or if you like a more defined silhouette.
Padded vs non-padded is simply a mood. Padded styles add shape and a smoother look. Non-padded styles follow your natural shape and tends to feel lighter.

The Opening Day Offers

Not Sure of Your Size? Most of Us Aren’t
Here’s something nobody tells you: your size can change over the years, and the same size can fit differently from one brand to the next. So if your current bra feels slightly off, you’re not imagining it.
That’s where the store comes in. The team does size checks and fit guidance, so you get clear advice instead of a guess. Tell them what you’re after, whether it’s an everyday bra, something for workouts or a fresh set of nightwear, and they’ll help you narrow it down.
When you try one on, run a quick three-point check:
- The band should sit snug and level around your back.
- The cups should hold your shape, with no gaping and no spilling over.
- The straps shouldn’t dig into your shoulders.
Pass all three? Keeper. If something feels off, ask for another size or style instead of getting used to it. Your shoulders will thank you.
Why Walk In When You Can Scroll?
Fair question. Most of the range is online too. But a store gives you a few things a screen never will:
- You can feel the fabric before you pay for it
- You see how a bra sits, moves and supports once it’s actually on
- You can ask the store team questions as you go, instead of waiting on a reply
- You skip the wait for delivery, and the hassle of a return if the fit is off
Trying it on is the real advantage. A product page can show you the style, but it can’t tell you how the fabric feels against your skin or how a bra holds up after a few hours. Better to find that out before you’ve paid for it.
Bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and a good store should reflect that. With inclusive sizes on the shelves, the idea is simple: whatever your shape, you should be able to find something that fits you well.
The interiors are stylish too, and the store stays open until 10 PM. So a visit after work, or after dinner, is easy to squeeze in.
